Corporate shared value has been primarily regarded as a charitable action. The issue of organizations treating corporate shared value as a charitable action without taking into account reputational consequences, has seen corporates invest heavily on corporate shared value projects only to delight on great perception for a limited period of time. The objectives that guided this study were to explore whether corporate share value programs lead to the beneficiaries perceiving a company as an organization that upholds their personal and business growth. To study whether beneficiaries perceive a company running a CSV program as an organization that supports their wellbeing other than the organization’s profits. To know whether beneficiaries of CSV programs would refer to other external publics to be stakeholders of an organization running a CSV program, following their participation in the program. Exploratory research design and convenience sampling method were used in the study, while data was collected using in-depth interviews. The study found that participants of CSV programs perceive the implementing organization as one that upholds their personal and business growth. The study established that participants of CSV programs perceive the implementing organization as a company that supports their wellbeing other than the organization’s profits. The study found that beneficiaries of CSV program would refer other external publics to be stakeholders of the implementing organization. The study concludes that corporate-shared-value programs have an influence on sustainable organizational reputation. This study recommends that corporates implementing CSV programs should expand support initiatives beyond financial assistance to encompass holistic wellbeing and personal development.
