dc.description.abstractThe study sought to assess the effects of motivation strategies on employee performance at IBM Kenya. The objectives of the study were to identify the motivation strategies used by IBM Kenya, assess how the organization measured employee performance and establish ways in which the organization can improve on its motivation strategies. The sample frame comprised; manager, assistant managers, head of departments and lower level management making total of two hundred and fifty respondents. The study used cross-sectional descriptive research design and questionnaires were used to collect the data. The data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) version 23.0 software to analyze and evaluate the data collected. The key findings were a good working environment, better reward and employee recognition and job design strategies are the motivation strategies that are used by IBM Kenya that had an impact on the organizations employee performance. The motivation strategies of training and development and rewards and recognition were not found as effective motivation strategies that have an impact performance. The study concluded that motivation strategies do influence employee performance which increases employee productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.en_US
