Abstract
This chapter explores the relationship between fintech and frugal innovation within emerging economies, aiming to discuss how frugal innovation has been leveraged to foster financial inclusion among underserved populations. Through a detailed analysis of three case studies from Ghana and Kenya, this study uses Network Theory to identify common factors that contribute to successful fintech solutions in resource-constrained settings. By highlighting the practical implications of these case studies, the chapter provides valuable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers seeking to apply similar frugal innovations in comparable contexts.
