Abstract
The chapter re-defined Hyperrealities by exploring the intersection of African folklore and the current discourse on hyperrealities. The re-definition includes non-technology-based functionalization of realities that creates Ogres and abstractions of reality. The chapter presents a modern-day Griot in teh person of a progressive clinician tackling COVID-19 myths and misconceptions as well as what has come to be known as vaccine apartheid.
