This study set out to evaluate World Vision Kenya’s (WVK) Katito and Mtito Andei Community Learning Centre’s (CLCs) role in enhancing youth voice through computer technology. The objectives of this study were to determine the level of computer usage among the youth of Katito and Mtito Andei and find out whether the CLCs had brought about empowerment. The study adopted the descriptive research design. A total of 140 youth took part in this study. Mixed tools were used for data collection. The data was analyzed using the Statistical package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20. The study found out that CLCs have provided the youth with unlimited opportunities of knowledge and information gained from the use of computers. Their level of usage and interaction with computers was found to be high. Secondly, the youth had actively engaged in dissemination of information in form of stories and sharing of pictures either on the internet or published in the Community Voice Newsletter. CLCs had also played a significant role as catalysts of development to the youth and have brought lots of empowerment to the youth. The study recommends setting up of similar CLCs in rural areas to act as catalysts of development. The findings of this study would be useful to International Non-Government Organisations (INGO), bilateral organisations, UN, Government ministries and other partners working on initiatives aimed at youth engagement and empowerment.
