| dc.description.abstract | This chapter examines the social and digital media conundrum especially as it relates to the African digital spaces. A background information that charts the journey from where we set foot on this digital space communicative interactions is needed so we can know where the rains started beating us as we face the unprecedented deluge of fake news and disinformation on the digital public sphere. This chapter therefore takes a kaleidoscopic view by interrogating manifold agencies and concerned parties as they struggle to navigate their ways out of this minefield that is constantly being filled with thorns that germinate every day and are not letting up. | |
