The study revealed that the key strategic human resource management practices that were being implemented included training and development, compensation and employee relations. The study reveals that training and development was the most implemented strategy at Daystar University while compensation, employee relations and recruitment strategies were implemented at Daystar University were also implemented but not to a large extent. The study also revealed that human performance was difficult to predict, investment in human resource was challenging and there was poor communication of strategic goals respectively which interfered with the role of strategic HRM practices on strategic goal achievement.
