dc.description.abstractEmployee commitment is a key factor for an organization to achieve its strategic goals as its performance is directly related to the commitment level of employees who perform their jobs more than management expectations hence increasing output and obtaining sustainable competitive advantages. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of employee commitment on organizational performance. Specifically, the study had the following objectives; identify the employee commitment components in Africa New Day, Ass Organizational performance in Africa new Day, and establish the effect of employee commitment on organizational performance in Africa New Day. The study was guided by Goal Setting Theory and Social Exchange Theory. The study focused on employees of Africa New Day. It adopted a descriptive research design. The target population was comprised 115 employees. Data was collected using the questionnaires. Data analysis was done using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23. The study used quantitative methods to analyze data and present it in the form of graphs, tables and figures. The study established that committed employees are satisfied to their jobs resulting to operational efficiency, and quality services, hence higher performance. Additionally, the study found that all the measures drove to performance as employees were satisfied. Finally, the study recommended that motivation should be done to every employee in order to be focus on attaining organizational objectives.
