The study targeted all the 45 employees of MK Certified Public Accountants audit firm in Kenya and all of them responded. The chosen firm represents all the other audit firms in Kenya hence the findings will be generalized. The study adopted a descriptive research design. SPSS Version 21 was used to analyze data using descriptive and inferential statistics. Research findings from the test of hypothesis established that transformational leadership affects performance of audit firms. The study findings support Transformational leadership theory which links transformational leadership to organizational performance.
