The study had four objectives, namely to assess the role M&E plays in project management, evaluate the extent of use of M&E in project management in ZOA, examine constraints to the implementation of M&E in ZOA and suggest strategies to enhance the implementation of M&E systems in ZOA Survey research design was used for the study. Questionnaires were used as instruments for data collection so as focused group discussion and interviews. The population of the study consisted of ZOA employees located in Yei County, Southern Sudan. The study used purposive sampling technique and a sample size of 98 respondents was selected. Data was analyzed through the the SPSS version 20 and presented in form of frequency tables, charts and graphs. The findings of the study indicated that staff technical skills affected the implementation of M&E in that necessary skills played a key role in providing functional advice in the development of appropriate results-based performance monitoring systems. It also emerged that though there was funding, poor budget allocation affected the implementation of M&E.
