SECTION A: THIS SECTION IS COMPULSORY (30 MARKS)
1a). Explain the four aspects of politics according to Andrew Heywood (10 Marks)
b).With examples, highlight five factors that determine a person’s social class in the society                                                   ( 10 Marks)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              c) Describe five types of classification of governments according to Aristotle ( 10 Marks)

SECTION B: ATTEMPT ANY TWO QUESTIONS (40 MARKS)
2a).Define the term politics and state the three approaches to the development of the study of politics         (5 Marks)                                                                                                                                                                                                       b).  Discuss Plato’s philosophical foundations of the elitist theory and show whether you agree/disagree with his views. Give reasons for your position (8 points)
c). Use 3 reasons to demonstrate how this course has impacted you as a person (7 points)

Explain the meaning of the term theory in relation to political science (4 Marks)                                                                                               b) Identify and discuss any five theories of political science, citing the scholars behind these theories  and their contribution                                                                                                         ( 16 Marks)
