Abstract

HIV/AIDS is one of the most urgent public health challenges facing both developing and developed nations. This study Knowledge, Attitude and Behavior of Adolescents with regards to Sexual and Reproductive Health, a Case Study of Kitutu Chache, Kisii County focuses on finding out how knowledge, attitude and behavior of adolescents affect their Sexual and Reproductive Health. Their chances of getting infected with HIV/AIDS in Kitutu Chache, Kisii County. The data was collected using a research questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 22. The study concluded that there was considerable high knowledge of adolescence on SRH. However, the study revealed moderate knowledge among students about. The study concluded that the major challenges faced by adolescents on SRH were a lack of knowledge about sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV and AIDS, and poor attitude on SRH and HIV/AIDS. The behavior on SRH and HIV and AIDS was expected to improve by 0.077 units per unit change in the knowledge about sexually transmitted infections (STIS), including HIV and AIDS. Similarly, the equation suggested that the behavior on SRH and HIV and AIDS was expected to improve by 0.870 units per unit change in the attitudes toward SRH and HIV/AIDS. Thestudy was organized into five chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the study, outlining the background, rationale, statement of the problem, objectives, significance, scope, research questions, and the overall structure of the study. Chapter 2 reviews relevant literature on adolescent sexual and reproductive health, providing a theoretical framework for the study. Chapter 3 outlines the research methodology, including the study design, sampling techniques, data collection, and data analysis procedures. Chapter 4 presents the findings of the study, while Chapter 5 offers a discussion of the results, implications, recommendations, and conclusions.
