Increasing Access to Free Primary Education in Kenya for Children in Especially Difficult Circumstances

Abstract

Expanding access to primary schooling is of fundamental importance to the government's development strategy for various reasons. First, providing primary education for all is central to the implementation of the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper, since the acquistion of basic Literacy skills will expand access of Kenyans to employment opportunities and sustainable livelihoods.
