Cultural Change and Communications of Innovations among the Pastoral Maasai of Kajiado

Abstract

One of the changes that have taken place among the Maasai has been the introduction of grade cattle of the Lincoln type. This study, focusing on the adoption of grade cattle by the Maasai, reveal that a number of factors influence this adoption, including the perceived relative superiority of grade cattle over traditional maasai cattle.
